Holiday Wine Festival The Now Hear This! Advisory Council hosted the Holiday Wine Festival fundraising event on Thursday, December 11 along with the UIC Department of Otolaryngology. One hundred guests joined directors of the Advisory Council and event host, Lizette Tannebaum, at the Faculty Alumni Lounge at the University of Illinois’ College of Medicine for the evening. Guests enjoyed a wine tasting provided by Brandt Cellars. Entertainment for the evening included the baritone strains of H. Steven Sims, MD, director of the Chicago Institute for Voice Care.  150th Anniversary Gala On September 23, 2008, the UIC Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery celebrated the150th Anniversary Gala of the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. The occasion announced our new charitable fund called the Now Hear This! Fund. The Fund is dedicated to those who are deaf or hard of hearing. Actress Marlee Matlin was our guest of honor, and is the Honorary Co-chair for the Now Hear This! Fund.
